Residing in Oakland, CA, Soen Settanni is a producer, vinyl dj as well as a self taught photographer and visual artist who works with analog film and darkroom print making processes. His mediums include 35mm-large format film, 8mm experimental cinema film, photo-collage, mixed media, and sound design. Soen grew up in Southern California and attended The University of California Santa Cruz, where he graduated with a degree in philosophy and electronic music. Fascinated by the writings of late Carl Jung and the theory of the collective unconscious, Soen further examines the topics of indentity, mental health,and the memory through the experimentation of the photographic medium.
