Lyric Shen (b. 1993) lives in Los Angeles, California. Shen’s practice in ceramics, paper, and movement arts seeks to reconcile universal antonyms. In the past year, Shen was introduced to working with hand-dug and processed local clay during their time at Penland School of Craft, where much of the work from My Wishing Well was created. Underlying narratives of intimacy and violence are woven throughout this work.
